NAME: Louise

OCCUPATION: Manager (previously receptionist)

WHERE DO YOU LIFE: Melbourne, Australia

WHAT PROBLEM WERE YOU TRYING TO SOLVE:

I had been working in the same dead-end receptionist job for 7 years and felt like there was no opportunity for growth. I wasn’t respected and my talents and university studies were being wasted.

HOW WAS THE PROBLEM AFFECTING YOU:

I lacked confidence and every day I would return home frustrated and increasingly disillusioned about what I was doing with my life. My income was barely enough to pay the bills each week and I felt small, powerless and insignificant.

WHAT WOULD HAVE HAPPENED IF YOU HAD NOT CHOSEN TO WORK WITH ROSS:

I would have quit my job and looked for another entry level position with another firm. The pay probably would have been similar and I’d have been starting at the bottom all over again. My confidence would have stayed incredibly low and I would have remained feeling a victim to the greed of the corporate world, instead of taking control of my life.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE ROSS PEPPER:

Ross believed in me. He saw me as a much more capable person than I did. When we spoke I felt strong and inspired, I knew there was more and he held the key. His certainty, energy and passion for life were magnetic.

HOW DID YOUR THINKING CHANGE:

I stopped being a victim. My confidence grew and I took charge of my self, my environment, my choices and my life. Every day I determine who I am, how I will experience the day, what I will do or not do and how I will impact my world. Who people know me as today is not who they knew me as 4 months ago. I never could have imagined this was possible before.

WHAT WAS THE RESULT:

I am so much more confident than I was 4 months ago. I never could have imagined this much growth in such a short amount of time. My work colleagues now look up to me and I am a leader in all areas of my life. People come to me for advice and I am both a crisis manager and people manager in my workplace. I have achieved my first promotion and pay rise with the next pay rise already in discussions. I can’t believe it’s only been 4 months and I have grown what feels like a lifetime.
